I believe the beautiful Dahlia is called 'Tender Moon' I found this out by looking it up in the National Dahlia Collection. There are 1,700 named varieties and species on record.
Classification; Decorative fully double, flat ray florets are broad and blunt-ended. Height up to 5ft and blooms 10in or more.

Took this image at Dunster Castle, Somerset, England using my Sony Alpha 330 on Macro mode.
