About This Image

St Augustine is the oldest city in the USA. It is rich in history and culture and been under the rule of 6 different countries in its 439 years.

Last year I had the pleasure of climbing its beautiful lighthouse, but many Easter activities were taking place, so any time in the city itself were impossible.

This year was also too short - only one primary day - but enough to give me a stronger urge to return - again and again.

This is Cuna Street, in the downtown area. The UPS man is somewhat of a contradiction against the older houses and brick street - but I liked the effect.

We're on our way to Virginia right now and I will post more after we get there. I just wanted to share a 'Taste of St Augusstine' with you.

Thank you Alex and Anne. There are still more to come - as time permits! Anne, with your love of prose and 'auld' things, you would thoroughly enjoy St Augustine, Florida.

I wish I could put on my traveling shoes and go to some of those lovely places you visit. I think I would be right at home in some of the wonderful places you find.

Cool shot Vicki! I've never been there, we always end up on the other side of Florida :-). I'll look forward to more pics of it. Don
