About This Image

A tiny little bee, I thought, but it turns out it is a Cuckoo Wasp. I've never seen one, and the colors - it is iridescent - are breathtaking going from magenta to electric turquoise on the body. Looks like a lapis lazuli and turquoise bead.

I find it interesting also, May. Have never heard of these before. The iridescence is great.
