Thanks for commenting, Alandra. Sad to say, it is disease. And it is all through the Park. And now we have the Wooly Adalgilaid attacking the Hemlocks.

that's a great looking viewpoint, great idea, --and what a fabulous view a person would get from there! Am noticing it looks like some of the trees below are dead, - was it from a forest fire, or is is some type of beetle/disease?
