About This Image

Here is Ruggles, the little old dog that we rescued on Christmas Day. Nobody wanted him, so we took him in. The Yellow Lab "girls" have accepted Ruggles and the Abyssinian cat is getting over it : ) a bit of hissing goes on sometimes LOL.
He's in need of grooming, but we are leaving that for now, rather than stress him out.
excuse date, but used my old camera and forgot the dates are set to show up on pics.

thanks very much, Anne, for the nice greeting and good wishes. Sending same back to you and yours. I guess it's 3 years tonight that we adopted Ruggles, it was Christmas night that we brought him home here. Just love him.

just had to leave another comment. We love this little guy more each day. He's brought so much fun into our lives and he's like a little shadow to me, follows me everywhere. No bother whatsoever.

have to leave a comment, -- was just comparing this shot to the shot on "new comments" - what a big difference in Ruggles since this one was taken, a short time after we brought him home here, Xmas nite. Here, he has such a "Beseeching Look", as if to say "can I really STAY here now?"

thanks Karen, for the nice thoughts re Ruggles. Well, as you will understand, the pleasure is all ours, being so fond of our pets. And you are right, he is my faithful shadow already, follows me everywhere, and curls up near my feet each time am at the puter, - he's here beside me now. A real friend. I couldn't get his wistful little face outof my mind, from the first time we saw him. so just had to take him in.

You found yourself a Christmas angel, and your kindness will be repaid with love.

thanks Tam and Mary. keep thinking of "boot button" black eyes, an expression my mother and grandmother used, harking back to the olden days when people wore buttoned boots : )
