Chipmunk On Cholla Cactus

Hi Julie, Thanks for checking out my photo and for your nice comment. The Chipmunks can go up and down the cactus no problem at all, It is safer in the cactus than on the ground. Daisy does chase them when she can, she was off doing something and did not see it.

That had to have hurt. Maybe he couldn't figure out how to get down without it hurting. Great Shot and your dog didn't scare it away either! Daisy must be well trained.

Thanks very much Karen :-) I remember those Disney shows, I haven't thought about those is years... Daisy does help and hurts things but most of the time she is out doing her thing 100 yards away. It is amazing how the chipmunks can run up and down the cactus like it's nothing.

Beautiful wildlife image. It reminds me of those Wonderful World of Disney wildlife shows from the long ago. Your dog probably helped convince this little one to stay high in the spines! Lol! Ouch!
