Guest - Nov 28, 2006 05:28 PM EDT Thanks Don and Anne for the lovely comment.
Guest - Nov 28, 2006 03:54 PM EDT How wonderful. Ted and I fed the birds and one chickadee would follow Ted's hand as he spread peanut butter for them. So I loved your picture. A touch of home. And a great close-up - showing food in its mouth. *g* A Natural Shot!!
Guest - Nov 28, 2006 10:19 AM EDT Such a big seed for such a tiny bird. A very nice close up Carol :-) Don
Guest - Nov 28, 2006 05:50 AM EDT Thanks Alandra and Karen for viewing and commenting.I can see the photo could be better, how to make it better is beyond me, so thanks for any help or ideas, very much appreciated.
Alandra you must be thrilled with the snow and right out there getting beautiful photos of it.
Guest - Nov 28, 2006 03:39 AM EDT oops, sorry Carol, should not have mentioned White Balance as that's not correct :) - was just making a silly guess, as obviously never really knew what white balance is. Anyway, I like the photo, and agree with Karen about the seed in the chickadee's beak. Am going to hafta read my manuals more, LOL. I am chuckling about this, as must've had WHITE on the brain, due to all this SNOW around here.(can hear you laffing now :)
Guest - Nov 27, 2006 11:15 PM EDT Nice close-up especially with that seed in its bill.
Guest - Nov 27, 2006 10:57 PM EDT I think it's very nice, Carol, seems sharp to me. Um, I do have similar problems quite often with the white areas of birds' feathers, and put it down to "white balance" - altho I know zero about it or the settings for it, LOL. I just put mine on auto for the most part, and hope for the best.

My camera is Sony H1,5.1 mega pixels, 12x optical zoom.
Guest - Nov 27, 2006 06:56 PM EDT Nice close up of a chickadee. I am not sure which type of camera you have, but while composition and color is good, sharpness is lacking. Some detail lost in the white feathers.
