About This Image

The downy woodpecker is the culprit that drilled these holes in this pine tree.He was trying to get a pine borer that was also boring smaller holes inside this tree.

Yep, he sure did,I think I'll try to get him to chop some of the trees down this summer.

Thanks for the comment Alan,some of those pine borers are as large as your largest finger but I have never tried one to see how "Yummy" they are.LOL

Wow that is amazing.. I had no idea they would make such large holes, looks like a lot of work for a little worm. They must really be yummy LOL..
