About This Image

This is where the battle of New Orleans was fought. The rampart you see is part of the original which was there during the battle. The cannon is similar to but not the exact cannon which was used during the battle. The monument in back was added years later and is called a centopath. It is similar to the Washington Monument.

I have not been there but would love to go and see that and the Alamo. I have always admired Davy Crockett and James Bowie.

I like the hanging moss in the framing silhouette. This reminds me of the San Jacinto Monument in SE Texas.
