About This Image

These are ceremonies that were done at the Battle of New Orleans. In the background is a monument based on the Washington Monument in Washington D.C. The people in red are not British soldiers of the War of 1812 but rather Americans who were not combatants. The British would not fire on another red coat or so the theory went.
