OH, isn't this lovely, serene and awe inspiring? I loved the background of it also - still that same serenity, reaching and blending with the sky. The trees, forming together to almost hide the streets! Such serenity. I loved this piture. Great picture, Allyjane

lovely image and scene. It brought back memories, as my aunt and uncle took me and my cousin there many years ago. I don't recall seeing the minster from that view tho'. Very pleasing image.

and welcome to from me i love york but not that much to do the big wheel lol... but york minster does stand out well as Steve said with lovely country side

Welcome to TLF, Allyjane! I love your pictures of York, and the Railway Museum. Rather spookily I was in York myself last week! This is a great shot of the minster, and it emphasises the fact that York is still quite a small city, with that rolling countryside only just beyond. This image is perfectly exposed, with detail in the deepest shadows and the brightest highlights.
