Jas - Sep 05, 2008 05:51 PM EDT Interesting subject Carol. They do have really nice colours and amazing markings; they almost look as if they've been knitted! Lol :)
shutterbug - Sep 03, 2008 08:12 AM EDT Thanks All for the great comments.
Thanks Bruce for the Info, thats good to know. These caterpillars can eat a milkweed leaf in a very short timespand.
Alfresco - Sep 01, 2008 04:24 PM EDT Nice sharp macro of some pretty but not very nice critters! I think these are the Milkweed Tussock Moth larva, and they can leave a rash if they crawl on your skin. They're brightly marked to warn predators that they're toxic.
anne - Sep 01, 2008 03:12 PM EDT Oh, I could almost feel the caterpillar crawling on me!!!! It has beautiful colors but it looks as if it might sting. Great picture.
A.Lovely - Sep 01, 2008 01:26 PM EDT What a clear and colorful photograph. The colors are so enjoyable to view. Nice capture Carol.
