About This Image

This is the Arizona State bird and they are fun to watch and listen to. They sort of sound like a older car trying to start with a slightly week battery. This one was working on building a nest. I guess that's a hint for me to start looking for some nests :)

Hi Beverly, Thanks so much for the nice comment and use of my DOF. I usually set my aperture to F/6.3 with a focal length of 270mm when I'm hunting birds.

Hi Mary, Thanks again very much for your wonderful comment.. I really like my 75-300mm, it makes blurring the background so easy. Looking for a active nest will keep me busy for sure, almost every Cholla cactus has a nest in it. Most of the nest are not being used anymore, they last for a long time.

Another great capture of the Cactus Wren. She stands out nicely against the background. I guess you will have to start your *search* for the nest Alan...that will keep you busy too! :)
