Thanks to Lulu, Alandra,km, and Mel (and thank Paul for me Mel - it's nice to have a name for this butterfly - and being a NZ native is a bonus!). I particularly liked the 'fuzzy-ness' of it's body too Alandra. I really value everyones praise - you all take such beautiful photos!

yes, it's a beauty, I love it too. How very pretty with that yellow colour beside the velvet brown and black. notice that your butterflies have that "fuzzy-ness" on their bodies too : )
