Thanks all for the comments. And, No, they do not allow hunting in the park, nor would it be legal to shoot one if it wandered out of the park boundaries. Therefore, they are not too afraid of people as long as you keep your distance.

Nice majestic photo Talsi. I have a set of antlers very similiar to the ones here. I am not a hunter!! Mine originally belonged to my grandmother.
