A.Lovely - Jan 20, 2010 07:00 PM EDT Nice composition and colors, Alfesco. Wonderful to view.
Karen Moen - Jan 19, 2010 12:24 PM EDT They are so beautiful against the winter branches. We, too, had the pleasure of seeing seven males and four female cardinals in our yard at the same time. They looked like Christmas ornaments. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of them.
Dani - Jan 19, 2010 08:11 AM EDT Three cardinals at once! Wow! We usually get one or two at a time. Lovely capture!
Alfresco - Jan 19, 2010 12:24 AM EDT Thanks for the comments, Golda and Julie!
That was a very cold (near zero degrees F), blustery day and the birds were coming to our feeders in large numbers. We had (at one time) seven male and two female cardinals, instead of the usual two or three. There were also dozens of finches and sparrows, a few woodpeckers, chickadees, tufted tits, nuthatches, as well as a dozen or so crows. We went through about ten pounds of sunflower seeds that day.
JulieMetott - Jan 18, 2010 08:28 PM EDT I never seen so many male cardinals in one area!
golda - Jan 18, 2010 01:10 PM EDT Beautiful, birds.I would think it would be great to see these little flashes of colour, when you look out, on a snowy day!
Nice trio !
