Blind Mother Raccoon resting

Hi Jas, many thanks for the nice comments and interest. Can't recall exactly how long this blind one has been visiting us, about 2 years at least. The thing is, she probably was visiting before she went blind. Just recall that we suddenly saw her bumping into things in the garden and realized she was blind, so started looking out for her. We were hoping she wouldn't have a baby this year, as she had the one last year that suddenly didn't show up with her anymore. But we have no control over the wild animals, so here she is again with this new baby. I hope the poor little baby will survive this time.

thanks to you all for the nice comments, Janice, Lorraine, Ann and Beverly, glad you like it. I thought it was a pretty sight, as you mentioned Ann, with the paw resting over the wall. She knows us by the sounds we make to her, plus we speak to her. She comes towards us when she hears those sounds, even when she's heading off down our little cul-de-sac. I guess she knows we won't hurt her and that she's safe in our garden.

What a wonderful photograph, Alandra. I love the little paw just relaxed and resting on the wall. The lighting is so enjoyable in the capture. I'm glad she has made is this long without sight.
