I've been playing with my brother's telephoto lens. It's a 55-200mm VR Nikkor lens. This photo was cropped from the usual 3000x2000 pixels down to 900x600 pixels - no resize on the full sized image. 200mm isn't close enough to capture an average sized bird in the full frame unless they're really close to you.
