They sure are a pest here Jim . They compete with our native birds for food and are very noisy as we have them nesting in the guttering on our roof each year since i was a kid.

thankyou Jim and Carol for the nice comments, and thanks also for the info on the bird, Jim. Too bad these birds have become pests there. Am wondering if they "talk" like other types of Myna birds do.

Hi Alandra. I believe this bird is a Common or Indian Mynah. They come from southern Asia from Afghanistan to China. They were introduced into Australia about 150 years ago and are now a considerable pest. Nice shot too.
