Guest - Aug 05, 2007 03:53 AM EDT Wow, that sure is a high up isn't it. Mike - go on, be a devil. Just don't look down and you'll be fine. I bet there would be some fabulous photo opportunities from up there;) The only fear is that of the unknown - except when it comes to needles, 'coz I'm scared (allergic!) of them too, and I know what they are about LOL.
It's amazing how the 'cars' are attached to the outside of the wheel. All the other Ferris Wheels I have seen have the cars dangling from the inside. Very 'new millenium'
Guest - Dec 03, 2006 08:05 AM EDT hi steve hope the view was great while you on there...the only way i go up there is by being knocked out with a needle ...BUT.. scared rigid of needles too :(
Guest - Dec 02, 2006 03:09 PM EDT Hi Mike! I thought of you and this picture last Tuesday. Our boss took us for a planning day in a hotel just along from here, and at 11.00 he stunned us by suddenly saying, "OK, we're going on the London Eye now!"
It was a great ride, and I'm sorry that your problem with heights stops you being able to enjoy it!
Steve

Guest - Nov 08, 2006 06:23 PM EDT Great Job Mike!! The first thing I noticed was the very pretty sky. Great colors and a really fun photo to look through. You have captured it all, the Giant Ferris Wheel, boats, and big buildings. Me + heights = Yea lets go LOL.. I would love to go on that...
Guest - Nov 08, 2006 03:50 PM EDT That is a really big Ferris wheel, beautiful photo of it!

Guest - Nov 04, 2006 04:47 PM EDT WOW!! great shot.
Guest - Nov 04, 2006 12:40 PM EDT Is that the one they call the London Eye? It is not scarey at all because you are enclosed and it goes real slow. I made my husband go on it with me when we went there in 2003. Cool photo.
Guest - Nov 04, 2006 04:13 AM EDT thanks all for the comments its about a good 45 mins walk from tower .... and alandra sorry i did not go for a ride in it ........ hieghts + grumpy = big chicken lol .thanks again for all the kind words ...
Guest - Nov 04, 2006 03:12 AM EDT great shot, Mike. Did you go for a ride on it? A friend of mine in Hants sent me a pic from inside one of the "cars", or whatever they're called :) Great view from up there.
Guest - Nov 03, 2006 11:40 PM EDT Holy cow, that is one huge farris wheel! Great shot of it Grumpy. And a beautiful sky to back it up, Don
Guest - Nov 03, 2006 08:00 PM EDT I've heard people talk about the Millennium Wheel but never saw as good an image as you got here, Grumpy. I gre up in St John's Wood and spent my last summer there as a Harrod's "Junior" (wrapped up dresses "on approval" for Princess Anne when she was 9!!!). I know it's fairly close to the Thames, but how far, say, from The Tower?
Guest - Nov 03, 2006 07:22 PM EDT I can hear the circus music and I'm ready to ride that tremendous ferris wheel or whatever it may be called. *g* You captured the essence of excitement. Very good at capturing the picture too!!!
Guest - Nov 03, 2006 05:39 PM EDT Beautiful shot of the wheel. The buildings and wheel in the foregound with the gorgeous sky/clouds in the background makes the scene stand out.
