This Bendire's Thrasher was just about to take off when I got it's photo. These birds are a little more trusting than finch or sparrows making it a little easier to get there photos.

Hi Jas and Golda, Thanks so much for your really nice comments. I'm glad you like my photo and depth of field. Blurring the background is easy with using the 75-300mm lens.

A very nice composition of the Bendire's Thrasher, Alan. The subtle blurring of the background shows off the nice, sharp focus and I love the way he's perched on that lovely rustic post. He looks as if he's ready to take flight at any moment. He has a beautiful orange eye too. :)
