what a nice treat that was, Carol. Daughters are so wonderful that way, mine would be exactly the same. I suppose sons would be also, but don't have one so don't know : )

I forgot to say taking that picture it probably a half a mile out in the water I zoomed it in as much as I could with 12x zoom on my camera.

Thanks Mary and Alandra for commenting.I live about 35 miles from Cape Elizabeth, where the lighthouse is, we just happened to be in Portland yesterday with Betty and I mentioned I had never been to Portland Head Light.That was enough said she headed right to the lighthouse.
