Guest - Aug 04, 2007 03:48 PM EDT Hi Bernie, this is out at Opunake, Middletons Bay, not the main beach but just a little futher over, good for fishing and paddling but I wouldent swim there, has quite a drop off and sharks are quite common in this bay, its where the fishing boats launch from, the road has being sealed down to it now, steepish, but no problem getting down or back now.
Guest - Aug 04, 2007 09:21 AM EDT There's that Flax (Harakeke) thing again! Where is this? I can imagine 2 of my children loving the beach, and the 3rd making herself at home in the flax bushes making flowers.
It is almost a path of mystery. Very well taken
Guest - Aug 04, 2007 09:18 AM EDT I like this photo lorraine. I would never have guessed it was flax over each side
Guest - Jul 22, 2007 05:19 PM EDT Thankyo Anne for looking in, the bushes either side of the railing are flax, , it looks like flowers but just the way the sun caught the shinny leaves.
Guest - Jul 21, 2007 05:33 PM EDT Beautiful shot! The white rail really captures one's eyes. Were those white flowers on either side of the Walk Way?
