This is a neighbor's dog named Balou. I met them down by the local boat launch, where he was having the dog chase balls thrown into the water. Balou was completely obsessed with chasing the ball. (I guess that's just the way with retrievers).
I asked if I could photograph the dog and scheduled the shoot. The next day the whole family came out to watch the shoot. I arrived with a small raft and parked myself near the end of the dock. I got several shots of the dog leaping off the dock and into the air. This is my favorite. I will show you others in a few days.
