About This Image

Bald eagles were nearly extinct in this area since the '70s because of pesticides. In the late 90's, they were reintroduced. They are still rare in this area. I'd say they are making a comeback.

We recently, in the last 10 years, have had a family of Eagles migrating down to South Louisiana each year. I am glad that you were able to get this shot in. It looks great.
