thankyou for the nice comments, Karen, glad you like it. The ferry dock you may have left from, might have been here where this eagle photo was taken, if you left from the Tsawwassen ferry terminal. But you may have left from the terminal at Horseshoe Bay.

I really like the composition with that nice strong branch in the foreground and the background out of focus. The eagle really stands out, and the amazing open beak. Wow! We saw two eagles from the ferry dock on our way to Vancouver Island.

What a terrific picture!!! And what a big mouth he has. *LOL* I think I can hear him this far away. He is a BIG Bird too. I know what my grandson will say when I show him the picture - AWESOME!!!

thanks Carol and Tam, glad you like them. Yeah, Tam, I know, the owl shots aren't the best, keep hoping to see the owls lower in the trees, but they aren't even there now, so no luck so far. It's hard to get the owl shots as they are directly above me as I stand below the tree. whereas with the eagle shots, am capturing those from a different angle, off in the distance. guess that's what the difference is.

Hi Janice and Beverly, thanks to both of you for the encouragement. He does look like he could be singing but he was hollering : ) - they seem to like to announce their arrival when they land someplace, as I noticed they did that each time. Very interesting while a person is capturing the images

Hi May, thanks for the nice comments, glad you like the bird pics. I took these photos about 5 minutes from home, there's a large colony of Gt Blue Herons nesting there, - someone told us 400 herons! Plus Bald Eagles and hawks.

Great shot, Alandra. Beautiful bird series. Where did you take them? I have a really big problem with birds - except parrots and chickens.
