Caught in the balance between supporting the fighting soldiers and hiding in the dense forest, Hmong women and children traveling to freedom put their lives everyday. This woman clenches her child keeping him safe from the dangers that lurk in every corner.

I was inspired to create this piece after hearing of the Genocide that is currently going on in the Jungles of Laos…
