About This Image

Before leaving for S. Dakota, a friend told me to be sure to return to the Badlands if a storm passed. Mother Nature obliged - I've got photos of the same spot within 10 minutes of each other where the coloration totally changed. It was aawesome.

Thank you Carol - it was an awesome visual to watch the colors change so dramatically - and the following lighning storm just added to the mystique of the whole experience. (And to be honest, the Badlands were not my projected high point on the trip before we got there - was I ever wrong!)
