Sorry to hear your GCSE is not helping you very much! I think though that the tones of this image work really well and add an atmosphere that would be lost if it were any brighter. It's a very good shot!

Thanks for your comments guys, I've only just started photography really on my GCSE course, which teaches me nothing. I would of liked to have ahieved a clearer white on this photo though, most of it's just light grey :(

I remember "alleys" like this in Yorkshire when I was little. The milkman came down here with his horse and cart and ladled it out. Memorable, well shot.

This is a pleasing image in a gritty kind of way! The B&W adds to the impact, I think.
