Baby Raccoon

sadly, this little baby raccoon went missing and we never saw it again. Now the blind mother raccoon has a new baby (this is being written in August 2008), so I hope this new one survives.

Hi Ikka, good to hear from you, thankyou for the nice comments, happy you enjoy the little "story" here. I agree about the social touch of these animals. Like I said to my hubby yesterday, - I wonder how many people are aware that this happens with these wild animals?, and we are able to watch this happening right here. Alandra, a wonderful image, I like it very much, and I have been read the story of you, yes the nature is strong, but to see, that also this animals have a social touch, is wonderful. (and I'm take a break for today of spa, (got a lumbago!) Ikka

thanks Alex. We have another (younger) Mama also, who has 3 fluffy babies, who are younger than this little one. They rush away to hide whenever they see me :) cute to watch. It's sad tho', as most of them don't survive. That younger mama is the one who is in the image from last summer, "sunning herself" :) Thank goodness the blind mama only has the one youngster
