About This Image

baby great horned owl, 100 feet up in the cottonwoods. He was bobbing around and turning his head round and round : ) cute to watch. Wish they would sit lower down tho'
At least you can see the eyes in this one. Will keep going there hoping to capture them lower down in the branches

that's nice of you, Anne, thanks very much. They are very sweet to watch, - we haven't seen any of the baby owls this year, we went to the nesting area several times but didn't see or hear any sounds of owls. However, I met someone recently who lives near there, and he told me there are young owls again this year. Will have to go there again. This is not as sharp as I'd like, but they were very high up in the tree.

Wow what a great photograph! Alandra this is so wonderfully captured. They have such big eyes and the baby fuss is still clinging. Great photograph.

thankyou both, Carol and Talsi, - yes the eyes do look huge, and the youngsters are so comical, bobbing their heads up and down, & in a circular motion, as they seem to try to focus on us below : )
