About This Image

Today we went hiking in the mountains above Cloride, Arizona in the Packsaddle Recreation Site. While driving up the mountain dirt road, I caught this squirrel siting on a rock. This is a unusual photo for me with not many squirrels around here.

Hi Carol, Alex, Steve, Talsi, and Janice :) Thanks very much for all your really nice comments.. Our squirrels do look different. I guess they just need a sweater instead of a jacket to make it through our winters. Glad everyone liked my photo.

Great shot. But much different than the squirrels up north. Less furry, but in Arizona I could see why.

Nice shot of the squirrel - He looks a little different from the ones here - and seems to have a longer tail.

Wondeful capture, Alan! I love the back lighting and the soft focus background.
