Thanks for the comments, Carol. This picture was taken in the village of Honeoye Falls, about ten miles southeast of Rochester. A little further downstream there is a "real" waterfall (about 20 feet or so high) right in the middle of the business district. It's a very nice, picturesque village, and for reference, it's maybe 20-25 miles NE of Letchworth Park, just off route 15A. The creek runs from Honeoye Lake (one of the Finger Lakes) NW to the Genesee River. When you visit Letchworth Park again, try the Corps of Engineers Dam visitors center a little ways south of Mt. Morris; it has some great hiking trails and scenic overlooks.

What area of western Ny is this in, anywheres near Letchworth falls? I visited Letchworh Falls and thought it was beautiful and will be back there in warmer weather when we visit NY. again in warmer weather also ate at a wonderful resturant there or somewheres near there. It was called Lorraines, great prices and wonderful home cooked food. Cant wait to go back there. Beautiful photo here. Carol
