thanks for the good thoughts Tania, we got an update re the computer today, now it's gone "somewhere else" within Sony! perhaps even to Ontario, -not sure, as DH spoke with the tech while I was at emerg. dentist :) (everything happens over the holidays lol) Sony's approved $500 for repairs, but they might give me another puter instead of fixing that one. I have to find out more about where it's being sent next.

thanks for the nice comments, is this Alan, I forget your name. We all wish the images were better here, and I believe some changes are in the works :) Am not sure how much detail was in this image, believe I posted it mainly for the "expressions"/poses. But I think there are some images here with quite good detail. Am one of those who prefers not to use a tripod, - prefer the spontaneous way, - so am sure the images would be sharper if I had the patience to bother with a tripod, but can't see myself doing so at this point :)

thankyou Beverly. Had been hoping to capture a shot of 2 jays for awhile, - and was alerted this morning by the fluttering of the slightly extended wings-hadn't seen the jays doing that before. So I missed the first opportunity, but a couple moments later the wing fluttering began again, so I got it that time : )
