About This Image

I saw this flower the other day and admired it's
beauty. Although growing here in Maine, it is native
to Zone 8-10. So it is considered a annual here in Maine.

Hi there all, Thank you so much for stopping in to view and leaving comments. I appreciate your critique. Yes, I thought this flower was so pretty and unique. Maybe some summer I will plant this flower and see it will grow as pretty.

Oh, Ann, this is really pretty and captured so well, with wonderful clarity! The colours of the bloom stand out really well against the deep, green foliage. :)

A new one for me. It is a beautiful flower for sure. Very nice capture of it Anne! Don

very lovely photo, Anne. Such nice sharp detail too. I haven't seen one in these colours, or in a "double" petalled version, before. Another name for them is Datura, I believe. I have heard that all parts of these plants are poisonous, and that you have to be careful about touching your face or near your eyes after handling them.

Very pretty flower, I've never seen one like this before, the name suits it.
