have only just seen this one, Mary. The eyes say it all, and I agree that animals know a lot more than many give them credit for. Am so happy he got a home, it was very heart wrenching to see this photo before reading he has new owners. thank goodness. I couldn't work in a shelter, would find it too upsetting.

Steve, your comment was very touching. They say the eyes are the window to the soul and I've noticed a certain look in most all of their eyes. Very heart wrenching. Thanks for viewing and leaving a comment.

Thanks Hannibal, Carol, Alan and Beverly for stopping by and leaving your comments. He had several people wanting to adopt him so he now has a new home.

If dogs have souls, this fellow has a very deep and sad one. Great image, Mary.

Such pleading eyes. Would be hard to resist taking this one home.

I hear ya Hannibal.. You can see the sadness in his eyes. I strongly believe that animals know what is going on a lot more than we think. Great job Mary, with your photos they are getting a much better change of finding a home.
