The ceiling of one of the rooms in the Nasrid Palace, the main muslim part of the Alhambra. The stucco plasterwork is said to simulate the stalactites of prophet's cave-dwelling.

Thanks, Lorraine and Tania. The plasterwork in these palaces almost defies belief, especially when you consider most of it was done about 800 years ago.
