really interesting shot, one that not all of us wold have bothered about, I'd have gone for one fully open, I see this and your's is just way more interesting, great shot.

Hi Tania, great shot. love the way the flowers are bursting out of the covering "skin", and the "tear" at the bottom part shows up so well also. Captured at an interesting moment.

Really good shot of this flower head bursting open. I think the angle from which you captured this shot was just right - it shows the florets really clearly, but also the protective covering from which they are emerging is positioned to create a telling contrast between simple and complex shapes. So a great composition, with the background thrown out of focus to prevent distraction. Excellent all round, including the beautiful colours.
