About This Image

If you look in the foreground, on the left side, you can see the remains of a once-major passenger and freight train line that was abandoned in 1940 in NW Indiana. This portion is now a delightful, private, walking trail on the edge of the campground, yet private and clean of litter.

Thank you for your comments. I was surprised at how the trees and roots have grown over the railbed. It's definitely a relaxing walk - a great place for welcome solitude during the week (once kids discover it on weekends they have a grand time in there - especially with their bikes!)

Nice capture! That trail is screaming 'walk on me!' I like the shot, with the sun and shade. Don

yes, Vicki, I did notice the parts of the tracks even before reading your comments. What a lovely place to walk, - love the way you can see the trail meandering off into the background.
