About This Image

Location: Tonto National Forest, near Payson Arizona. This is about 80 miles from where I live, but a different world entirely. The elevation is much higher and the terrain is mountainous. I love to go up there because I grew up at a high elevation in Colorado.

Thanks, Dud. Actually, those are leaves in the foreground.

I love this shot!! It shows the flowers up front but the flowers are not the whole picture by a long shot. I mean long shot in more then one way. It is really a great shot up close and shows the beauty of the woods in the back.

Thanks, Carol. I took about 6 or 8 shots of this scene, each one a little different. But I thought this one was best.

this is really nice, Gary. Like the way you've framed it with the tree branches across the top & at one side, and that hint of golden draws you in. lovely.
